Same is the situation in Jammu which was also completely free from Corona in the month of April when all the 26 cases were cured and discharged from the hospital. Today’s Jammu tally has been reached to 113 today evening. Within one month, the coronavirus cases have been jumped from 60 to 386 due to these returnees in Jammu region. Among 11 persons who were tested positive today in Udhampur are those who returned from outside J&K. On Tuesday, all the 29 positive cases were the same who returned from outside. In the last one week, the positive virus cases in the Jammu province, which was earlier declared almost safe from the virus, have increased manifold because returnees in quarantine are testing positive. On May 17, there was 148 positive cases the Jammu province, which has touched 386 today evening. The region is witnessing a spike in the virus cases after the authorities started the evacuation process to bring back stranded residents from various parts of the country. |
