RAMBAN, May 27: Police have recovered 96 grams of heroin and 10 kg of poppy straw from two narco smugglers at Ramsoo. On specific information from a reliable source, Police party of PS Ramsoo during naka checking, intercepted one vehicle (truck) bearing registration no JK02BW 2887 for checking. During checking of said vehicle, Aapprox 96 grams of heroin and 10 kg of poppy straw was recovered from the persons in the vehicle.
The accused persons namely Ramesh Kumar, son of Kaka Ram of Udhampur and Jeevan Singh son of Gusha Ram of Ramban was arrested on spot and recovered heroin while poppy straw was also seized. In this connection, a case FIR No. 45/2020 U/S 8/15/21/22 NDPS Act stands registered at PS Ramsoo and further investigation of the case is going on. |
