DB asks govt to file status report on COVID-19 testing methodology in J&K

EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, June 10 : Taking cognizance of the Media reports regarding central security forces’ personnel performing their duties in Jammu and Kashmir despite being confirmed positive for coronavirus infection, in which on June 3, 2020, Division Bench issueD notice to the Secretary, Health and Medical Education Department, UT of Jammu and Kashmir to place on record, in a tabulation, the manner in which samples for COVID-19 testing are being collected, the manner and the time taken for transporting them to the laboratories for testing and the schedule on which test reports are obtained.
Today when the matter was listed, Divison Bench Comprising Chief Justice Gita Mittal and Justice Rajnesh Oswal after hearing both the sides observed that an undated status report has been filed by Mr. Atal Duloo, Financial Commissioner, Health and Medical Education Department.
AAG Aseem Sawhnye sought time to to examine the same and make submissions.
