Bharti alleges atrocities on SC community, condemns Govt’s callous attitude | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 16: Rohit Bharti, Advocate at Common High Court of Jammu Kashmir & Ladakh today lambasted the governments of the J&K and centre for their callous attitude towards the people of community of oppressed class i.e. Schedule Castes residing in the Union Territory. In his statement to media, Bharti said that the people of schedule cast community are living under the shadow of dark since years and the government attitude towards the underprivileged community was too unacceptable and callous but they had high hope with present dispensation to meet the need and desires of the community but still it is painful for the people of community for the step motherly treatment inflicted upon them. He said that with in a period of month incidents happened with the persons of community by some miscreants with lady Sarpanch of panchayat Halka Pochhal A-2 of Kishtwar, one in Miran Sahib Longotiyan and another in Majalta of district Jammu are eye openers for the administration which needed to be punished strictly under relevant provisions, specially under SC&ST Atrocities Act 1989 but the attitude of the concerned administration to deal cases shows biasness which can’t be tolerated anymore. He said since years community is underprivileged and continuously fighting with one and the other issue for survival and existence as the ratio of unemployment had hit them to the wall but inimical and unsympathetic act substantiate the anti-community stand of the current regime. |
