Ghar Kab Aaogay? NC leaders ask Omar Abdullah
6/17/2020 1:17:23 AM

Early Times Report

Jammu, June 16: Whereas the former Chief Minister and National Conference President Omar Abdullah had gone to the national capital for a medical consultation at a private hospital, his “prolonged” stay in the national capital has left the party in dilemma about his return.
Sources said resentment is brewing among the party leaders over the allegedly prolonged stay of the NC president in the national capital.
Sources said the NC leaders are saying that at a time when the politician is supposed to be among his people, Omar has been busy with his “personal engagements” in New Delhi. Sources said some of the leaders of the NC have personally called Omar Abdullah on phone and told him that he should return home urgently.
Sources said the same has even been conveyed to the Nawa-e-Subh party headquarters that Omar’s prolonged stay in Delhi in times of crises was sending a bad signal as he has been seen busy tweeting most of the times even on issues which are not of importance at the moment.
Omar flew to Delhi within days of flights resuming from the Srinagar International Airport in the last week of May. He had taken permission for travel from the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir on grounds and had posted the same on his social media account as well.
The Early Times is the only newspaper which had reported that Omar would extend his visit to the national capital for his “personal engagements”.
While the former Chief Minister has been stating that there was nothing political about his visit, his “secret political engagements” there are not being ruled out.
As per reliable sources, Omar has been putting at his flat in Nizam Ud Din locality of south Delhi.
Despite repeated attempts, Omar Abdullah or other leader in NC couldn’t be contacted for comments.
