JAMMU, June 24: Condemning China for its military aggression along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh, the Traders Federation has announced boycott of all Chinese products. Deepak Gupta said that the Government has started its process to eliminate Chinese goods as the Rs 9000 crore tender given to the Chinese firm by BSNL has been cancelled and the private players in the telecommunication industry have been instructed not to use the Chinese equipment. “There is a list of 450 broad categories of commodities, which have over 3,000 Chinese products. At present, India imports about Rs 5.25 lakh crore, i.e. $ 70 billion, worth of goods annually from China. We all now need to boycott Chinese goods to break their economy. We must unite ourselves to teach the lesson to China. It is time to show them the power of Indian wallet,” he said. Tributes were paid today to 20 soldiers martyred recently in Ladakh on India-China border by various trade organizations under the banner of Traders Federation Ware House-Nehru Market Jammu at Ware House. The programme was organised under the presidentship of Rattan Lal Mahajan, President Traders Federation Ware House Nehru Market and attended by Surinder Mahajan, President Raghunath Bazar businessmen association, Anoop Mittal, President Kanak Mandi Traders Association, Kirti Gupta, President Dal Association, besides the office bearers of the federation. Speaking on the occasion, Deepak Gupta, General Secretary of Federation said that though the loss is irreparable, the supreme sacrifice made by our soldiers will not go in vain. He said that the time has come now that not only our soldier brothers but we must also contribute in this fight against China by boycotting Chinese products in the market. |
