| Sarpanch Burthi alleges corruption in construction of bunkers | | | M S Nazki

MENDHAR ,June 24: Block Balakote’s Panchayat Burthi Sarpanch Arif Khan has alleged corruption in construction of bunkers and demanded a probe into the matter by the district administration.
While taking a dig at the mismanagement of things by the concerned department, he in a video message alleged that the constructed bunkers of Burthi panchayat were not built at nearer places to the local populace in spite these bunkers were constructed at far away places which does not suit locals whenever they need them. He said in his video that the concerned JE was involved in malpractices and constructed the bunkers at his choice, unpopulated and isolated places besides he used sub standard material in the construction works, he added. Terming these bunkers as useless he demanded an inquiry into the matter from district administration Poonch and strict action against the works executing staff.
When contacted Tehsildar Balakote, Qadir ur Rehman told Early Times that the matter will be looked into and action will be initiated if video message of sarpanch is found correct. |
