| BJP Municipality Chairman loses majority | | ‘Floor test shortly’ | | Early Times Report
Anantnag, June 24: Chairman Pahalgam Municipal Committee lost confidence of all the three members after they moved no confidence motion against him.
The incumbent Chairman Pahalgam Municipal Committee had been elected on BJP ticket and he was supported by all the three members of the Committee, reports said.
These members including two females moved a no confidence motion against the BJP Chairman Rayees Ahmed.
They accused him of corruption and undue interference in Pahalgam Development Authority.
Confirming the development, Executive Officer Muhammad Aslam told media that he has received all the three applications from these members and in coming days the incumbent Chairman has to prove his majority. “There will be a floor test shortly,” he told a local news gathering agency. |
