The announcement was made by the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) in a tweet.

Protests were staged by Rashtriya Bajrang Dal in Jammu on Wednesday against the policy. Raising slogans against the Modi government and the J&K administration, the protesters alleged that the government was appeasing militants and their families.

We demand that the policy to grant scholarships to children of killed terrorists be scrapped," said Rakesh Bajrangi, President, J&K Unit of Rashtriya Bajrang Dal. |
