JAMMU, July 24: The people in Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir had always been struggling for good healthcare facilities and today, when the UT of J&K has extended Prime Minister's Ayushman Bharat initiative, wherein every family will be provided an annual health cover of Rs. 5 lakh on a floater basis, to the beneficiaries including Government employees and pensioners, it has come as a boon. This was stated by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) J&K Executive Member, Raman Suri, who said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is making sure that J&K UT enjoys facilities at par with rest of the nation and such a wonderful health insurance scheme being rolled out in Jammu and Kashmir is in tune with such initiatives. He said that opposition leaders are trying to mislead people by diverting their attention towards irrelevant issues, so that commoners are able to neither become aware of such wonderful schemes nor seek their benefits. He said, once this new health scheme is rolled out, it will provide free of cost universal health coverage to all residents of Jammu and Kashmir, who are presently not covered under AB-PMJAY. Rs 5 lakh annual health cover per family on a floater basis is a boon. This will help many families who are unable to bear the cost of health services, and since the scheme is universal, they can get treatment anywhere in the country. Under this health scheme, Pradhan Mantri Arogya Mitras (PMAMs) will be guiding people in claiming cashless treatment all over the country. |
