Delhi Raas Aa Gayee: Friends make Omar opt for makeover again
7/25/2020 12:51:47 AM
Early Times Report

Jammu, July 24: Even as former Chief Minister and National Conference President Omar Abdullah had grown a long salt a pepper beard during detention and had continued with the same looks even after his release, his recent trip to New Delhi has brought the change as he has gone for clean shave again. Omar has even changed his profile picture on the Twitter as well.
Sources said after his release from prison, Omar had decided to sport beard and not to go for shave.
Sources said despite advise from his friends and other well-wishers in Kashmir, he was reluctant to shave off his beard.
Sources said Omar had told them that he would continue with the look “till government meets the demands of the NC.” It was reliably learnt that the change in his outlook came after a trip to the national capital where his nears and dears convinced him to go for a makeover.
Sources said during his stay in New Delhi some of his close aides asked him to “get back to same old good looks.”
Sources said the request was so strong that he couldn’t turn it down. Sources said Omar went for a clean shave at his Nizam Ud Din flat and that he would be shaving his face regularly.
Sources said on his return his party colleagues were surprised to see Omar having got back his old looks.
It is pertinent to mention that Omar had left for Delhi in the last week of May and returned to Kashmir very recently.
Though he had sought permission to leave Kashmir for a medical consultation, his prolonged stay in Delhi had drawn serious resentment from his party colleagues.
Omar was being accused of having left his homeland when his presence was needed in Kashmir.
Some were even questioning to his motives for staying back in New Delhi all alone. Finally he was left with no options but to return home. Despite repeated attempts, Omar Abdullah was not available for comments.
