PM Modi has made 'Yoga' global event: Kavinder | | | Early times Report
Jammu, July 24: Former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta attended a workshop on 'Yoga' in Gandhi Nagar. This programme was organized by Pawan Kesar, owner of Delhi Building Material. Around 100 people participated in this yoga session. Kavinder Gupta, who was the chief guest on the occasion, said that we are proud of our PM who popularized this yoga all over the world six years back. He said that everyday must be Yoga Day as it benefits our health. "I feel proud that our Prime Minister has made this as a global event", Kavinder said and added that Yoga unites people irrespective of caste or religion. He also emphasized that Yoga should be made compulsory as a subject as it relaxes minds and body. Gupta said that we all should perform Yoga at home so that our children also follow it as an exercise and anything that benefits body and soul must be done regularly. He said that the PM Narendra Modi deserves appreciation for taking yoga even to the United Nations. Kavinder said that Yoga belongs to Bharat and Bharat belongs to Yoga. He further said that Yoga is above religion and caste and everyone should practise it in the daily routine to stay physically and mentally sound. He also stressed on the importance of meditation and urged everyone to make it an integral part of their lifestyle. He said,” Meditation and Yoga bring discipline in the life and connect body, mind and soul which further leads to oneness of spirit.”
