Jammu, July 26: In order to prevent the spread of Novel Corona Virus, SKUAST-Teaching Association Jammu (SKUAST-TAJ) under the leadership of its President Dr Vikas Sharma conducted a day long massive sanitization drive in which all the Faculty Blocks, Administrative Block, Directorate of Extension, Central Library, Dean Office, Vice Chancellor’s Residence, Staff Quarters etc. located at Main Campus Chatha were sanitized.
President SKUAST-TAJ Dr. Vikas Sharma stressed that keeping in view the COVID-19 pandemic and sudden spike of corona positive cases, it is the need of hour to conduct such sanitization drives every month especially in the Farm varsity where essential activities related to agriculture, horticulture, dairy, poultry, animal husbandry, farm operations etc. are going on. Dr. Vikas further informed that this is the 3rd massive sanitization drive conducted by SKUAST-TAJ in the last three months as teaching association has already conducted 1st sanitization drive in the month of May and 2nd sanitization drive in month of June.
Dr Vivak M Arya informed that the objective of such massive sanitization drives is to regulate the spread of COVID-19 and to enthuse the spirit of hygiene / cleanliness among staff members of SKUAST-Jammu. The team members who are associated with this sanitization drive include Kulber, Gulshan, Mukesh, Sukhbinder, Ravi, Jeet, Ravi and Rajesh.
