State govt ignoring our demands: AJKLTF | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 26: All J& Ladakh Teachers Federation affiliated to Akhil Bhartiya Rashtriya Shikshak Mahasangh demanded immediate retention of powers of DSEJ to held DPC which is not held since 2014. Devraj Thakur President AJKLTF /ABRSM J&K UT today said the UT government has been ignoring their demands and threatened to intensify their struggle if their demands are not considered soon. Thakur also demanded a transparent transfer policy and fixing of allowances for teachers working in remote areas. He said they had presented a Memorandum of their demands to the Higher Authorities many times, but they preferred to ignore it. They said if the state government fails to consider their demands soon, they would agitate. The steps taken by the Education department for improvement in the academic side are highly commendable, but we express our concern to the Education department for not initiating speedy disposal of pending issues of teachers community wherein to extend the benefits for Grade lll & III Teachers in their transfer matter. He said that the teaching community have expressed deep concern for sealing the powers of DSEJ & CEOs in matters of DPC & transfer of all cadres also and demanded immediate retention of powers to DSEJ/K and all CEOs in matter of DPC & transfers.
