Randhir pays rich tributes to martyred soldiers on Vijay Diwas | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, July 26: Former Minister Thakur Randhir Singh paid rich tributes to heroes of Kargil war. While paying tributes to the martyred army men on Vijay Diwas, Singh said our soldiers sacrificed their lives for nation’s better tomorrow and dragged back Pakistan raiders who entered in Drass area inside Indian Territory and constructed permanent bunkers. Singh said during the Kargil war just to push out those raiders who have occupied Indian territory India had to sacrifice 500 soldiers, 1500 were injured and incurred more than Rs 20,000 crore loss to the exchequer. Singh said that Kargil war is very much fresh in his mind and he could imagine the bravery of our jawans who captured all those areas which were taken over by Pakistan Army, adding that nation profoundly remembers the warriors of Kargil on Vijay Diwas.
