| Protest against PDD, PHE held at Chowki Choura | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, July 29: People held a massive protest at Chowki Choura Sub Division of Akhnoor. Large number of people gathered outside SDM office and shouted slogans against PDD department and PHE department. People allege that from last many months they are suffering unscheduled power cuts, low voltage supply and scarcity of drinking water. The protest was led by Ex Sarpanch Ramesh Chander
Addressing the media Ramesh Chander said that it is now more than two months they are facing power and water crisis. He said that unscheduled power cuts and low voltage have become daily routine of the area. He said that from last more than one month pump of PHE department is burned which has not been replaced till now by the authorities. He said people are without drinking water since last one month and they have cover long distance by foot to get drinking water. They warned administration to streamline the electricity and water supply for the people within time otherwise they will launch massive agitation for that.
