Jammu, July 29: A team of six students from Jodhamal Public School recently participated in the Virtual Formula One (F1) in Schools National Championship. The Jodhamal team was named Team Helios, which showcased exceptional talent and skills throughout. Based on the Formula 1 motorsport, the competition involves the designing and manufacturing of a miniature working F1 car model by individual teams from all over the country, which then race with each other on a 25 meter long track. School teams from all over the country reach out to participate in this prestigious competition. They displayed an exceptional performance in the Regional finals conducted in January, where they won four awards (Resilience Award, Pit Display Award, Fastest Reaction Time Award, Runners up Award) and qualified for the National finals after being placed in North India. However, due to the ongoing global health crisis of Covid-19, the National Finals were conducted virtually through online platforms. |
