ISM’s online cascade training session concludes | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 29: A 3 day-long online cascade training session organized by Directorate of Indian Systems of Medicines (ISM), J&K for Community Health Officers/ Medical Officers (CHO/ MO) of AYUSH Health & Wellness Centre, Jammu Division concluded here today. The training session was held under the direction and supervision of Director Indian Systems of Medicine Dr Mohan Singh which was inaugurated by Roshan Jaggi (IFS) Joint Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. While speaking on the occasion the Joint Secretary stressed upon all the CHOs/MOs to work with zeal and enthusiasm for the implementation of AYUSH Health & Wellness scheme in letter & Spirit and to uplift AYUSH in common masses. The training was imparted by Master Trainers designated by Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India from the Jammu Division. The theme of the training programme was to educate and orient the CHOs/MOs for ensuring effective on-ground implementation of AYUSH Health & Wellness Centre scheme in Jammu Division. The training session was divided into three days schedule during which topics like Overview of National AYUSH Mission and AYUSH Health & Wellness Centre, Development of Herbal Gardens, Prakriti Assessment, Home Remedies for Common Ailments, PLP guidelines for Upgraded AYUSH Dispensaries, IT Application of MoHFW, Government of India, First Aid and Referral of critical cases, Life style, Diet and Behavioral Code as per Ayurvedic Principles, Yoga Services under AYUSH Health and Wellness Centres, IEC Activities and its importance, National Health Programmes and Elderly care & Palliative Care were thoroughly discussed. A special lecture on “Brief regarding the details of AHWCs of UT of Jammu & Kashmir” was delivered by Dr Rakesh Raina Assistant Director (HQ) ISM, J&K. Speaking during the valedictory function Dr Mohan Singh, Director ISM expressed his satisfaction and appreciation for the Organizers, Master Trainers and Community Health Officers/ Medical Officers on this successful training programme event and impressed upon all CHOs/MOs to implement the scheme on-ground in letter and spirit.
