| DGPC, JKGPB felicitate Sarpanch Trewa Balbir Kour | | |

JAMMU, July 29: District Gurdwara Prabhandhak Committee (DGPC), Jammu, Jammu and Kashmir Gurdwara Prabhandhak Board (JKGPB) and various Sikh organizations along with prominent Sikh leaders felicitated Sarpanch Trewa, Balbir Kour here today at Gurdwara Guru Nanak Sahib, Chand Nagar.
While addressing the media persons, Avtar Singh Khalsa said that during recent broadcast of “Mann Ki Baat” the Prime Minister Narendra Modi showered praises on two women Sarpanchs of J&K and a MC President for their earnestness and dedication towards Corona control measures in their respective areas. Khalsa said that “Mann Ki baat” is nationwide listened program and daughter of Jammu Balbir Kour (Sarpanch of Trewa Gram Panchayat) has brought laurels to UT of J&K by setting a nationwide example by her efforts in the fight against Corona Virus. He said that we really appreciate the steps taken by her for fighting with this epidemic, moreover she is example for the youngsters and women as she despite being MBA in Human Resource, she opted to serve the community as Sarpanch of Trewa Gram Panchayat and social activist by helping the needy persons to the extent she can.
