Congress wins Kishtwar MC,s VP post | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Aug 25: Kishtwar Congress today mange to hold the prestigious Vice President Post for Kishtwar Municipal Council after its candidate manage to secure 8 votes out of 13 votes against the newly formed Apni Party candidate. As per the details available with Early Times, Congress Candidate Sanjeet Kumar Kotwal manage to get 8 votes including six from NC lobby Counsillors and two from its own party while Apni Party Candidate Ghulam Nabi Butt manage to get four votes including three from PDP while one vote got rejected . Peoples Conference Candidate Sajjad Ahmed Najjar gets zero vote. Kishtwar VP seat falls vacant after another Congress Councillors Firdous Ahmed Mingnoo resign from the post as a part of party strategy to give an opportunity to Kotwal to take over the post. With this Sanjeet Kumar Kotwal become the first person from minority community to hold any post in Kishtwar Municipality which is presently led by its President Riaz Ahmed Zarger, who belongs to National Conference lobby. |
