| AJKPC demands induction of Shafiq Mir as Advisor to LG | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
DODA, Aug 25: Members of All Jammu Kashmir Panchayat Conference (AJKPC) and president of erstwhile Doda district Civil Society Haq Nawaz Nehru have demanded representation to Panchayat Conference in the J&K UT administration and propose the chairman of All Jammu Kashmir Panchayat Conference Shafiq Ahmed Mir to be inducted as advisor to Lt Governor.
Chairman of erstwhile Doda District Civil Society Haq Nawaz Nehru in a statement issued here said that the elected public representatives should be given representation in the UT administration so that the interests of common masses are taken into consideration.
He said that the chairman of Panchayat Conference Shafiq Ahmed Mir be made advisor to the LG so that he can represent the panchs and sarpanchs in the administration.
Sarpanch Panchayat halqa Bhabore Mohd Sadiq in his statement said that the PRIs need to be strengthened at all levels and the members of panchayat conference must be inducted into the Administrative Council of the J&K UT.
He said that Shafiq Ahmed Mir chairman of PC deserves to be appointed as advisor to Lt Governor so that the voice of the masses reaches the administration and their grievances get due consideration.
