MENDHAR, Aug 25: Residents of the border Villages in Mankote Tehasil of Mendhar Sub division in Poonch district have allege authorities were not able to follow the curtailment schedules and outages prolonged during bad weather conditions. Unscheduled power cuts in Mendhar continue unabated even after the power development department issued a new curtailment schedule for metered and non-metered areas in the Mankote , residents say. Many residents of the border village allege authorities were not able to follow the curtailment schedules and outages prolonged during bad weather conditions. "We hardly receive power supply for three to four hours a day, we live under darkness in the evening when it is most needed," said resident of Mankote . "We get only fifty percent of the scheduled supply," a resident said. In some other areas like Dabraj, Shara, Thanks and baloni residents say they were supplied electricity for about half an hour a day. "The department is forcing us to come on roads to protest against them. In 24 hours we hardly get three to four hours of electricity," said Mustaq Ahmed , a resident of Mankote
