Samba, Aug 25: District Police Samba arrested a bootlegger and recovered 30 bottles of illicit liquor in the jurisdiction of Police Station Ramgarh. Acting on reliable information regarding transportation of illicit liquor, Ramgarh Police laid a strong vehicle checking naka at Chak Salarian, Ramgarh and intercepted motorcycle bearing Regd. No. JK21B-9616 which was coming from Vijaypur side and moving towards Ramgarh.
While checking the said motorcyclist, a total of 30 bottles of JK Special Whisky of 180 ml each were recovered. The accused person identified as Amit Mehra, who was carrying the illicit liquor trade in the area for his illegitimate profit has been arrested on spot and illicit liquor was also seized. In this regard, said accused was booked under section 107/151/110 Cr.PC at P/S Ramgarh. |
