| Many women from Gandhi Nagar join JKAP | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 4: Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP), Provincial President, Women Wing, Jammu Division, Namrta Sharma today expressed her serious concern over unscheduled power cuts and improper drinking water supply in Gandhi Nagar. “Despite being a posh area of Jammu, people in Gandhi Nagar are facing difficult times because of unscheduled power cuts. The electricity supply is not being provided as per the bills being charged from the consumers,” alleged the JKAP Provincial President, Namrta Sharma. Sharma said that “Many areas in Gandhi Nagar assembly constituency have been suffering from the shortage of drinking water supply.” Referring to the recent inclement weather and heavy rains, the JKAP senior leader said that the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) has been exposed with the poor drainage system in Gandhi Nagar. “The authorities concerned have failed when water logged in different areas of Gandhi Nagar,” she said, adding that appeals to the Corporation should improve drainage system in Jammu Municipal Limits especially Gandhi Nagar. The JKAP senior leader demanded that Jammu and its peripheral areas need developmental and repair work of the roads in deplorable condition. Meanwhile, many women have also joined the J & K Apni Party. Prominent among those who joined JKAP include Usha Kumari, Parveen, Sarita Kumari, Ritu Devi, Nirmal Devi, Kiran, Meenu Devi, Seema Devi, Kamlesh, Anita, Asha, Krishna, Mata Devi and others joined JKAP.
