JAMMU, Sept 7: Manhas Mahasabha Jammu and Kashmir, Headquarters, Paloura, Jammu, held a meeting here today to discuss the upcoming congregation (Meil) which is scheduled to be held on October 14, 2020. The meeting was chaired by Balbir Singh Manhas, President of the Mahasabha in which other office bearers of the Mahasabha were present and presented their views regarding the congregation amid COVID-19 scare.
Balbir Singh Manhas said that the congregation shall be held as per the schedule and the Mahasabha will follow all the guidelines and SOPs with regard to COVID-19 issued by the district administration while organizing a community’s annual function. He said “The Mahasabha will take all adequate measures for the welfare of people of our community amid COVID-19 while organising a congregation on October 14, 2020.” Manhas appealed to the community members to follow all guidelines and SOPs of COVID -19 like wearing masks, social distancing and other COVID-19 guidelines while participating in the congregation to save other community members from spread of coronavirus pandemic. In the meeting, General Secretary Ramankant Singh, Vice President Manohar Singh, Corporator Ashok Singh Manhas, Keher Singh Manhas Vice President, Rashpal Singh Cashier, Parshotam Singh General Secretary, Retd Col Uttam Singh and Shiv Dev Singh, Ex MLA were present.
