Samba, Sept 7: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Samba Rohit Khajuria disengaged Dr. Anil Pansotra, Casualty Medical Officer (CMO), District Hospital, Samba for not admitting a pregnant woman who delivered a child on roadside Sunday. “On 06.09.2020, a lady namely Neelam, (35) wife of Davinder Kumar Resident of Bihar, presently living near SIDCO Phase-I Samba, suffering from labour pain and reached the District Hospital Samba for getting admission. The hospital authority has denied and asked her to produce a test report of COVID-19, pandemic before getting admission in Hospital. The lady experiencing severe pain and ultimately delivered a baby on the roadside in the front of Chemist Shop, Samba with the help of local ladies”, copy order issued by DC Samba read. “The doctors and other staff of District Hospital, Samba has taken irresponsible attitude to get admission to the pregnant lady and put the lives of both mother and baby to a grave risk. Keeping in view of above, Dr. Anil Pansotra, Casualty Medical Officer, District Hospital, Samba is hereby disengaged forthwith”, the order further read, adding that consequent upon the above, Ramkesh Sharma, Sub Divisional Magistrate, Ghagwal is hereby appointed as Enquiry Officer to look into the whole issue and submit a report within five days positively.
