Citizen Forum urges FM for action against banks for refusing loans | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 10: Citizen's Forum urged Finance Minister of India Nirmala Sitaraman and Chairman revival of business committee of J&K UT action against banks for refusing loans. The Punjab National Bank in Jammu is one such bank which has been neither refusing nor disbursing for the last 4 months since Moratorium and 20% small loan announced to the lockdown MSME units allowed. WE request you to kindly while declaring financial schemes percentage of under hand money also be announces for Punjab National Bank as this Bank is used to dealing with A class customers like Neerav Modi and his likes. R K Chadha President of the citizen's Forum said a formal letter of 20% loan for my unit Pari Mahal Banquets , Kunjwani Jammu was given on 03-06-2020 for this facility, to the Chief Manager Punjab National Bank Gangyal Branch Jammu. We are enjoying two loans of 12 lakh CC and 15 Lakhs loan but out standing is 1.40 lakh in Loan and CC limit only. both units have no default. Against these loans Rs.8.5 lakh fixed deposits with this Branch is given as security. Till date Branch manager have not been refusing the loan and still said give us some more time. Finance Minister has said that those who pay Taxes are the Nation builders. We have been paying taxes even during closure of our business because of depression in the country and also interest and installments regularly from our savings and this is what we are treated by this Bank.
