Jammu, Sept 10: The first R-ABI Incubation Committee (RIC) meeting of Agri Business Incubator, SKUAST-Jammu for the current year was held today at Main Campus, Chatha under the chairmanship of Professor J.P. Sharma, Vice Chancellor, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu. The meeting was conducted under the project RKVY-RAFTAAR project sponsored by Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, GoI. The project is functional at Division of Agricultural Economics and ABM, Chatha. Professor Sharma appreciated the presentations and ideas of participants and suggested them to come up with more innovative ideas that are relevant to the current business environment. He urged the participants that their services and products should be of high quality that must compete with the competitive market. He suggested the PI and Co-PI’s of the project to reach out the young entrepreneurs of UT of J&K and motivate them to join the programme so that they can grab the golden opportunity provided by Government of India whose objective is to boost the Startups in the country and train them so that they can compete at market level with rest of the country. Earlier, Dr. Jyoti Kachroo, Professor & Head, AEABM, P.I &Incharge R-ABI, Jammu welcome all the dignitaries and gave brief presentation to the Chairman and members about the working and procedural guidelines of the project. All the participants presented their innovative concepts before the committee. |
