Poonch, Nov 4: The local overstaying government officials in Poonch district are allegedly creating hurdles for their senior officials in public delivery services. Not only this, even these officials are so powerful that they save themselves from any action initiated by their bosses by instigating people to launch protests against any action.
Sources said that Revenue Dept, PHE, Police, PWD are the major departments, which are grappling with number of issues due to such lobby of officials, who are native and overstaying for the past more than decade. “They have become so influential that they let no work be done without them, even their senior officials feel helpless. They were never transferred to other districts, they are sitting at one place in contravention to transfer policy,” they said. Despite a number of complaints against them, they manage to save themselves, which indicates that they have strong connections.
They further said that although the government has issued an order of early retirement of non-performing government employees, now it should also take strict action against the officials who have not been transferred for the past many years. |
