| Water Testing Lab employees hold meeting, project demands | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 22: Water Testing Laboratories Employees Association held a meeting under the president ship of Yashbir Singh at Press Club Jammu to highlight the various issues being faced by the lab staff working in different water testing labs in J&K as Corona Warriors. In the meeting, the president of the association Yashbir Singh raised the issue of salary and said that none of the lab staff in the UT (J&K) have been paid the salary for the last 9 months, adding that the lab staff has continuously been performing its duties in during Covid pandemic.
He said that the UT Govt is totally non-serious regarding the issues of lab staff. Singh while demanding regularization of all lab staff appealed to the LG Manoj Sinha to frame the regularization policy in Jal Shakti (PHE) Department as soon as possible. It is also appealed to the LG to make the state level water testing laboratory functional as soon as possible so that all the other labs can function under a single head called Chief Chemist as per Uniform Drinking water protocol 2020. |
