Politicians played with future of youth: Posts advertised in year 2006; written test after 14 years
11/23/2020 12:03:28 AM

Early Times Report

Jammu, Nov 22: Recent notification issued by the Service Selection Board has exposed casual approach being adopted by the previous democratic governments in providing employment to the educated unemployed youth of J&K.
Written tests for the posts which were advertised in the year 2006 were held on December 20 this year. Ironically the posts were advertised 14 years back but successive governments failed to conduct written tests because most of the ministers in the democratic elected governments had encouraged backdoor appointments to provide employment to their relatives and blue-eyed boys.
Ironically these posts were advertised when PDP was running a government with Congress but that regime had failed to get the recruitment process finalized. After that NC-Congress government was formed and both the parties enjoyed power from 2008 to 2014 but both the parties failed to get the process completed. Even during the regime of PDP-BJP no serious step was taken to complete the recruitment process of these posts. Interestingly after imposition of Governor’s rule in J&K, these parties are instigating youth to take aggressive steps against anti-youth policies of the government.
On November 20, Secretary of the J&K Service Board, Sachin Jamwal issued a notification. As per notification, “The Services Selection Board has finalised dates for holding examinations/practical tests in respect of categories of posts. All the concerned are hereby informed to appear in the aforesaid examinations/practical tests, etc on the dates as indicated against each”.
As per the notification written tests- for some posts which were advertised in the year 2006, will held on December 20, 2020.
