In first eight months, Pak violated ceasefire for over 3,300 in J&K | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 27: In the first eight months of this year, Pakistan has violated ceasefire for more than 3,300 times along the Line of Control and International Border in Jammu and Kashmir. Official sources here on Friday said that 3,386 incidents of ceasefire violations have taken place in Jammu and Kashmir from January to August this year. Sources further said that 394 incidents have been reported in January, 389 in February, 454 in March, 412 in April, 398 in May, 423 in June, 482 in July and 434 in August. However, as per data, 3,479 incidents of ceasefire violations have taken place in J&K in 2019. Of these incidents, 216 were reported in January, 251 in February, 275 in March, 240 in April, 238 in May, 190 in June, 314 in July, 323 in August, 308 in September, 398 in October, 333 in November and 393 in December. In 2018, the incidents of ceasefire violations reported were 2140 along J&K borders. Meanwhile earlier this month, 10 persons including four soldiers were killed in multiple ceasefire violations by Pakistani troops along the Line of Control from Gurez to Uri sectors of Jammu and Kashmir. |
