Peasant's movement is only a political conspiracy
11/28/2020 12:48:34 AM

Lalit Garg

The agonizing nature of the peasant's movement in the borders of Delhi and allowing them to enter Delhi and perform at Burari ground, is not only sad but also worrying amid the increasingly dangerous situations of the Corona epidemic. This movement is a conspiracy of political lepers more than the interests of the farmers. Putting the lives of farmers in jeopardy and abetting them for the movement is exposing political anomaly and conspiracy. There is a need to be very careful, when life is in danger, then no wrong start like the peasant movement is in the national interest, because the wrong start of the maths question cannot give the right answer.
Choosing the wrong direction and wrong time does not lead to the right destination. This peasant movement is becoming more hatred than sympathy, which has become challenging not only for Haryana Police but also for Delhi Police. In view of the present health and life-saving needs, the Central Government does not want any kind of protest to be held in Delhi, so some force is also used against the farmers trying to enter Delhi via Punjab through Haryana. Due to barricading along the border, problems of long vehicular traffic have been noticed at Delhi, Ghaziabad, Noida, Gurugram, Faridabad and Sindhu borders.
Metro services have also been affected. A large number of farmers involved in the movement have not used masks or social distance while flouting the instructions issued for Corona.
The greatest need is to prevent such anarchy, instability and indiscipline. Seeing this need, farmers were prevented from reaching Delhi in any way, it should also be stopped. All the political parties that have given rise to such a movement are national. It seems that in the name of farmer interest, they are doing politics of protest, without worrying about their ego and without understanding the basic spirit of the bills. The Congress and other parties are resorting to deception and lies to mislead, confuse and mislead the public and farmers against these laws.
The police had made it clear that if the farmers try to come to Delhi during the time of Corona epidemic, it is a violation of the laws. Legal action will be taken against them. However, politics is also being blamed for the problems caused to the common people or farmers. This is not the time to take political advantage from such movements. The entire nation is surrounded by endless problems related to Corona, the situation in Delhi is worse. At such a time, it is ironic to do politics on Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's experiments to stop farmers. It is not only about Kejriwal but the Chief Minister of Punjab is also responsible for this.
Clearly, the Chief Minister of Punjab wants farmers to show their strength by protesting in Delhi. This thing is not hidden, in the past, the Chief Minister of Punjab had also protested in Delhi, but his demand was not accepted. In a hurry he has tried to make such laws on his behalf to please the farmers, but he knows that this law will not be approved without the consent of the Central Government. The performance of the farmers in Punjab is going on continuously, so the politics of changing the place of protest is not surprising at all. If farmers raise their voice in Delhi instead of Punjab, it is favorable to Punjab, but how can it be favorable for Delhi?
In a way, it has been proved how fundamental and impractical is the contradiction in Indian politics. When our politicians go on a confrontation, they probably do not think what message is going on in the country. Has Indian politics today become so insensitive and insensitive that it has not bothered to endanger the lives of innumerable people?
Everyone has the right to peacefully agitate in India, but during the Corona epidemic, the peasant movement should not be prolonged, it requires serious efforts. The main objective of these demonstrations being carried out by various factions of the country's farmer’s organizations like All India Kisan Sangharsh Coordination Committee, Rashtriya Kisan Mahasangh and Bhartiya Kisan Union is the pressure on the Central Government to withdraw the three new agricultural laws passed by the Narendra Modi government.
Front leaders say that whether they get permission to protest or not, the farmers will reach Parliament and demonstrate. The figure of deaths in Delhi in the Corona period has already created a lot of fear.
New cases of infection are not being named less. In such a situation, the agitation of farmers will only cause trouble. In such a situation, it would not be appropriate for farmers of Punjab, Haryana, Telangana, Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh to participate in the demonstration. Peasant demonstrations can lead to conflict situations.
The central government will now have to take serious initiatives in the direction of interaction with the farmers. If farmers have some apprehensions and insecurity about new reforms, they should be removed. Farmer organizations, on the other hand, should also exercise restraint. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also enumerating the benefits of agricultural laws from almost every platform. The movement is better that it is disciplined and that neither the agitators nor other people nor states are harmed. Whatever doubts are there can be resolved. There have been changes in the laws. It would be better if the farmer’s organization withdrew their movement in the interest of the country.
The Haryana government is right to pressurize the farmers to stop Delhi's efforts. The battle between the Chief Ministers of Punjab and Haryana on Twitter is the only indication that politics is more responsible behind the farmer movement. Taking a dig at the Bharatiya Janata Party-led Haryana government to stop the farmers marching towards Delhi, the Punjab Chief Minister said that it is completely undemocratic and unconstitutional to use force against the farmers. To this, the Chief Minister of Haryana responded by tweeting that I have already said and I am repeating it again that I will leave politics, if there is any problem on MSP, so please stop instigating innocent farmers.
It is clear from this kind of unpleasant dialogue between the Chief Ministers of the two neighbouring states; there is a lack of healthy dialogue and coordination between the states.
If the struggle is going on the basis of ideological or political differences, will the national capital have to suffer its loss? Can such problems be solved by farmers in spite of such differences?
The farmer will be strong only then he can go to any other corner of the country and sell his produce, but at the same time, the basic Indian system of 'Mandi' and MSP also needs to be strengthened. The Central Government has repeated these same things that the system of Mandi and support price will remain. In such a situation, why does distrust and opposition arise in non-BJP governments or peasant society? The responsibility of removing it may be more on the central government, but the opposition should also play a positive role in this task.
It is time to assure the country in collaboration with all the farmer organizations, so that there is a satisfactory response to the politics started in the name of farmers. Efforts should be intensified to listen and satisfy the farmers on decisive forums in time.
