JAMMU, Dec 6: NSS volunteers from National Service Scheme (NSS), Campus Units, University of Jammu organized, an awareness drive in connection with “World AIDS Day” in which the volunteers visited slum areas of Naseeb Nagar and Janipur and educated people about all aspects of AIDS including its causes, cure and prevention. They also pasted posters and banners to spread the awareness message. Besides, this volunteers also created awareness about various precautions required to be taken during Covid 19 .They stressed on public to wear masks properly, follow social distancing, hand and face hygiene to combat COVID-19 The event was conducted under the supervision of Prof Neeru Sharma, Chairperson NSS, Campus Units, and University of Jammu. Prof Neeru Sharma, appreciated the efforts of NSS Volunteers who visited the slum area to create awareness among the public living in that area. The programme was coordinated by Dr Meghna Dhar, NSS, Programme Officer, University of Jammu, Jammu. The NSS Volunteers who participated were Srishti Koul, Tanishq Koul and Shubam Choudhary.
