Overwhelmed by welfare initiatives Muslims embracing BJP: Kavinder | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 6: Considering the goodwill of PM Narendra Modi-led government at the center by virtue of which several pending issues of Muslims were resolved and bountiful opportunities were offered, the community has started endorsing the policies of BJP by embracing the party at various levels and showing undaunted faith in its leadership. This was stated by senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta while addressing a deputation of Muslim community members who called on the BJP stalwart this afternoon. Citing various measures which BJP government at the centre and recent dispensations in J&K took exclusively for the betterment of Muslim Community including bill on triple Talaq, empowerment of SCs and STs in J&K, granting of ST status to Gujjars and Bakarwals, etc, he told the deputation that it is BJP which is relentlessly delivering justice to all without any prejudice. “Whether it is People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) or Congress party, all of them are using Muslims as their vote bank and consistently trying to make fissures among communities for the sake of political dividends”, he said adding that the people of Jammu and Kashmir will not allow these machinations to get succeeded as they are the inheritors of glorious legacy of harmony, amity and tolerance. He asked deputation members to encourage more and more people to come under realms of BJP and help the society to become progressive and benevolent as no other political party has the will or guts to ensure the same. Quoting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s remark that he wants Muslims to have Quran in one hand and a computer in the other, Kavinder said that the intention of BJP is crystal clear that it wants youth of India to possess moral values which religion offers readily alongside becoming technical savvy which is prerequisite for a model society. |
