Internet services to remain snapped in Doda tomorrow | Counting of votes | | Asif Iqbal Naik Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 20: In order to avoid any law and order, Deputy Commissioner Doda Dr Sagar D Doifode today modified the order issued by him yesterday with regard to the imposition of section 144 CrPC in Doda District ahead of counting of votes for the recently held DDC elections. He also ordered snapping of all mobile Internet services in Doda District on 22-12-2020. As per the details available with Early Times, DC Doda vide order No. 1154-70/DM/Doda dated 20-12-2020- the DC has directed the SSP Doda to take up the matter of snapping of internet services with internet service providers. It is pertinent to mention that counting of 240 DDC constituencies in Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir is schedule for Tuesday. The DC Doda has also ordered for closure of all liquor shops, bars falling under the jurisdiction of Doda District from 2 PM tomorrow to 8 PM on Wednesday. He has also imposed ban on victory processions. The DC has also directed all the ADCs and SDMs of Doda district to depute duty magistrates at each police nakkas to avoid any untoward incident after the declaration of DDC election results. It is in place to mention here that authorities in Doda and Kishtwar District have also imposed ban on public transport and also on travel on Jammu-Kishtwar National Highway. However, the administration has directed its officials to ensure hassle free movement of patients and other essential services in both the districts during restrictions. |
