Jammu, Dec 20: Dr Harbans Singh, a renowned agricultural scientist and last Vice-Chancellor of combined Shere Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences, J&K breathed his last yesterday at Narayana Hospital. Dr Harbans Singh acquired his Ph.D in Agronomy from IIT kharagpur in the year 1970. A highly dedicated teacher and an eminent personality, he served the state throughout his life in various capacities with utmost sincerity, integrity and commitment. Dr Harbans Singh’s contributions in the field of agricultural sciences was remarkable as he was always known for his honesty and hardwork. He is survived by his wife, two sons and grand children. |
