| Awareness camp on food safety held at Ramban | | | Early Times Report
Ramban, Dec 24: Food Safety Department (FSD), Ramban in collaboration with Green Food Consultancy (GFC) today conducted a one-day awareness cum training programme on food safety training and certification programme at Community Hall Maitra. Meantime Labour and Employment Department also sensitized the participants about various government schemes launched for the welfare of labour and other workers besides Labour laws and NPS traders. Assistant Labour Commissioner, Rakesh Arora, Heads of various business organizations besides food business operates and shopkeepers attended the function. A detailed presentation on “Basics of Food Hygiene Practices for Food Handlers”, was delivered by Shantnu Gupta, Food Technologist from Green Food Consultancy awarded the participants about basic techniques of food and eatables business including storage, sale, serve and purchase. He also highlighted the importance of License issued by the Food Safety department and impressed upon food business operators to apply for new or renewal of the same besides taking necessary training prescribed by the department from recognized organization.
Designated Officer FSD, Ramban, Khaminder Choudhary appreciated the efforts of it’s and GFC team and for conducting such a unique campaign in Ramban and also thanked various stakeholders who participated in the function.
