EARLY TIMES REPORT

POONCH, Dec 24: An employee in the School Education Department Mendhar tehsil of district Poonch, has allegedly been enjoying his service on the basis of fake educational qualification certificates. Shockingly despite the issuance of an inquiry order by the Director School Education Jammu, the concerned ZEO has been shielding the accused.
Moreover, the accused government employee has also forged his date of birth, which is presently shown as 58 years old, while as per many documents, he is 64 years old. Sources informed the Early Times that the employee has been serving in Zone Harni of Tehsil Mendhar and besides being government servant he is also a chairperson of a religious committee of the area, which is against the service rules. A complaint was also lodged against him for possessing fake documents at the time of his joining in 1994 as teacher and consequently he was terminated from the job but after some time he was again reinstated.
Now another complaint was lodged recently in 2020 with the Director School Education Jammu, who ordered an inquiry directing the CEO Poonch to constitute a committee to look into the matter, however, the concerned ZEO Harni was made a member of the committee, they said.
They further said that the complainant had made a telephonic call to the ZEO Harni about the matter but astonishingly during their conversation, the ZEO Harni allegedly threatened the complainant to stay away from this matter and asked him that there are chances that police case might be registered against him and his career will be spoiled.
To his surprise, after a few days, a complaint was lodged by the accused government employee in the concerned police station accusing the complainant of attacking him and police have been conducting an inquiry into this matter.
They further said that as per original documents, the age of the accused employee is 64 years old as his younger brother is 61 years old, which clearly indicates that documents have been forged by the accused employee.
The complainant has appealed to the LG for intervening into this matter so that the accused employee might be booked as per the law of the land and demanded strong action against the officials who have been supporting and shielding him.
