Early Times Report

Jammu, Dec 24: Fear stricken People’s Democratic Party (PDP) president and former chief minister Mehbooba Mufti has started playing ‘victim card’ as central agencies have reportedly got very sensational information regarding terror funding during ‘interrogation’ of PDP’s ‘poster boy’ Wahid Parra.
Reliable sources told Early Times Parra, arrested by the National Investigation Agency (NIA), has already ‘spilled the beans’ during questioning and made startling revelations. “It was only after Parra’s startling disclosures that Mehbooba’s close-confidents namely Sartaj Mandi (who is her uncle) and Peerzada Mansoor, her former political advisor, were detained by the central agencies”, sources said.
Fear gripped Mehbooba when the Enforcement Directorate on Wednesday seized over Rs 28 lakh cash after it raided the premises of Anjum Fazili, her other close aide. Fazili was nominated as MLA from the quota of female MLA by PDP rejecting claims of all other senior women activists.
Reliable sources said after conducting raids at the residence of Fazili her premises in Srinagar and Delhi, central agencies have virtually reached near Mehbooba Mufti because Fazili is like a shadow of the former chief minister.
Reports said cash amounting to Rs 21,38,200 was seized from her residence in Srinagar while another Rs 6,62,500 was recovered from her residence in the national capital.
“Central agencies are not far away from Mehbooba because all her close aides have been detained, questioned or arrested”, sources said.
Within minutes after ED raided residences of Fazili, Mehbooba accused BJP of connecting her to terror funding by misusing agencies against her. “They are not fighting politically. Fight me politically not through NIA and other agencies. They have nothing to stick to me regarding corruption, and through Waheed. They have tried to connect meto the terror funding”, she alleged.

Mehbooba had earlier opposed jurisdiction of NIA in J&K
Since its formation in the year 2008, Mehbooba Mufti had been opposing jurisdiction of NIA in J&K. Even when PDP was running a government with BJP in J&K under the leadership of late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, Mehbooba Mufti had given controversial and bizarre statements against NIA. She claimed that due to Article 370, NIA had no jurisdiction in J&K.
