Jammu, Dec 24: The ongoing protest of JTC and SKF today completed 84th day, as the government is not paying attention on the demands of Kashmiri Pandits. Addressing today’s gathering Shadi Lal Pandita said, “We have been living in exile for the last 30 years, but the government has not solved our problems and issues till date. We the Kashmiri pandits are the original inhabitants of Kashmir but from us, Kashmir have been snatched and our properties have been destroyed in Kashmir valley which is totally unfair and cruel to us.” He said, “Let us be settled in Kashmir valley and what has been taken away from us should be returned to us. The BJP only deceived Kashmiri pandits but did nothing for Kashmir pandits. We have been protesting in Jagti township for 84th days but the government is not meeting our demands.”
He further said, “We would like to inform the state and centre government that the monthly cash relief for PKs is very low however, since 2014, there has been a lot of inflation. The monthly cash relief of relief holders should be increased from Rs 13,000 to Rs 25,000 for per family per month immediately.”
