| Horticulture Deptt organizes one day farmers training programme | | |

Jammu, Dec 24: Department of Horticulture Khour conducted one day within district training programme of farmers at Jourian under the chairmanship of Director Horticulture Jammu Ram Savak.
Around 60 farmers participated in the training programme and most of them were women farmers. During the programme different propagation techniques and methods of propagation of fruit plants were demonstrated to the farmers and the farmers were also made aware about different training and pruning methods of fruit plant propagation.
Speaking on the occasion Director Horticulture informed the farmers about different departmental schemes so that the farming can be benefitted by availing these schemes. He also impressed upon women farmers to form small self help groups to create small processing units and to become self reliant.
Corporator Kiran Bala also impressed upon women farmers to come forward in forming self help groups to take maximum benefit of horticultural schemes. Present on the occasion were district level SMS Sanjeev Kumar, Sandeep Gupta DHO Vijay Kumar and HDO Khour. |
