RAMBAN, Jan 1: Thirty domicile holder families deprived from ration cards since 2016 in Ramban despite having frequently visited the Food Civil Supply and Public Distribution (FCS&CA), Ramban but they are still waiting for the same. District Development Council (DDC) Councilor from Ramban-B, Renuka Katoch today visited the Assistant Director, FCS&CA department to take stock of long pending issue directly proportional to the survival of poor families. She also apprised the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Harbans Lal about the delay in the issuance of Ration Cards to poorest families. ADC directed the AD, FCS&CA to formulate the list of all said families and take up with the concerned quarters for the approval of the same so that poor families can also reap the benefit from various social as well as other welfare schemes. Speaking to media persons Renuka said that in the lack of Ration card they are deprived from the benefits of all government schemes including Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Ayushman Bharat now PM -Jan Arogya Yojna SEHAT, toilet units, pension schemes, job opportunities and all other basic facilities being provided by the government. It is pertinent to mention here that on the initiative of DC Ramban they have provided Domicile Certificates nearly four month ago but now they are not eligible for taking BPL ration due to not availability of Ration Cards. She appealed to the Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinah besides the DC Ramban to consider it on humanitarian grounds to issue the Ration Card to them without further delay as they are eligible for the same. |
