Srinagar, Jan 02 : At least eight civilians were injured when militants hurled a hand grenade towards security forces near a bus stand at Tral in south Kashmir district of Pulwama on Saturday, official sources said.
They said militants lobbed a hand grenade towards a security force bunker near bus stand at Tral in Pulwama.
However, the grenade missed the intended target and exploded at a distance causing injuries to eight civilians.
The injured were shifted to hospital where their condition is stated to be stable. Sources said panic gripped in the area after the blast, sound of which was heard in the entire town. People present in the area ran for safety.
Security forces immediately cordoned off the area and launched a massive operation to nab the militants responsible for the attack, they said
