SSB's advertisement for agricultural posts withdrawn after Jitendra Singh's intervention
1/2/2021 11:34:13 PM
Early Times Report
jammu, Jan 2: Taking cognizance of the Early Times report regarding discrimination with Jammu in sanctioning posts for Agriculture Extension Assistant in the Agricultural Production and Farmer's Welfare Department, Union Minister and Lok Sabha member from Udhampur-Doda, Dr Jitendra Singh said that the advertisement has been withdrawn.
The Early Times in its January 1 edition has published a report regarding only 20 posts of Agriculture Extension Assistant were sanctioned for Jammu division.
Within hours after publication of this report, the Union Minister informed that the advertisement has been withdrawn.
"Regarding #JammuAndKashmir SSB advertisement for Agriculture Department posts, I have taken cognizance of inputs from aspirant youth and discussed the issue with Principal Secretary Sh Naveen Choudhary. He is examining the matter. Meanwhile, the advertisement is deferred/withdrawn", Dr Jitendra Singh tweeted this afternoon.
As reported by the Early Times, agriculture graduates from Jammu province are on streets against advertisements issued by the J&K Service Selection Board on December 31,2020. Only 20 posts were advertised for Jammu province while 136 posts for Kashmir Valley.
Pertinent to mention here that protesting agriculture graduates have alleged discrimination in notifying posts as per the advertisement, 20 posts for Jammu division and 136 for Kashmir division are issued.
Not only agriculture graduates, other educated unemployed youth were targeting BJP leadership for continuing discriminatory policy against Jammu. Social media was flooded with posts against BJP leadership for pursuing appeasement policy.
