| JKRTC employees on deputation in MVD sitting beyond extension period | | Transport Dept goes soft on deputationists | | RAJESH TANDON

JAMMU, Jan 2: With casual approach of Transport Department, several employees of Jammu and Kashmir Road Transport Corporation (JKRTC), who are on deputation in the Motor Vehicle Department (MVD), have been sitting even after completion of their extension period which has left its own employees in lurch.
As per document available with Early times, the Transport Department had issued an order regarding postings of deputationists from JKRTC in August 2020 wherein it was mentioned that consequent upon the extension of deputation period of officials of JKRTC to Motor Vehicles Department by the Administrative Department vide Government Order No. 45 JK(TR) of 2020 dated 25-08-2020, the postings of six deputationist .
Sources further informed that the extension of these six employees of JKRTC was granted upto 31-12-2020, which expired two days ago but till date the employees on deputation are sitting on their place of posting.
If sources are to be believed, these employees have strong connections at the helms of affairs due to which they have been managing their extension after its expiration, this approach of the concerned department has created resentment amongst the other employees of MVD, who have been awaiting their postings. |
