Mayor distributes woolen clothes among needy persons | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Jan 2: Continuing his endeavour to provide immediate relief to the poor and needy persons, Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation Chander Mohan Gupta along with Swami Satyamitrananda Ji Maharaj incharge of Bharat Sevashram Sangha’s (BBS) Jammu & Kashmir union territory branch distributed about 500 woolen clothes (Jackets) among the needy persons. The programme was organized at village Kot Bhalwal by Bharat Sevashram Sangha in collaboration with Ashwani Kotwal prominent social worker along with other inhabitants of the locality. Kamla Gupta Vice President BJP Mahila Morcha as well as other workers of the party also attended the function which was held in a very simple manner. Appreciating the Sangha’s commitment towards the services of humanity, Mayor congratulated the BSS for its selfless activities towards needy persons who are living under below poverty line. Swami Satyamitrananda Ji Maharaj incharge Bharat Sevashram Sangha’s Jammu & Kashmir union territory also highlighted activities of the organization and said that his organization has set a target of distribution of about 50,000 clothes during winter and summer season to the needy population every year. He further said that the Sanstha is also running a School for the poor children and also providing mid-day meal to them as well as 100 bedded hospital with full medical facilities for the patients who are unable to bear the expenses for their medical treatment and also organizing free medical camp for Amarnath Yatries every year. |
