SAMBA, Jan 3: In continuation to its drive against illegal mining and illegal transportation of construction material, Samba Police seized 7 vehicles including 4 Dumpers, 1 Tipper and 2 Tractors across the district, which were being used for illegal transportation of the construction material.
A Police team of PS Ghagwal while performing routine vehicle checking duty at naka NHW, Tapyal intercepted four Dumpers bearing Registration numbers JK08G-0986, JK08N-9970, JK21F-6399 and JK20-2894 for illegal transportation of construction material (Sand).
In a similar incident, Police team of PS Ramgarh, while performing patrolling duty in its jurisdiction area, intercepted a Tractor without Registration Number at Ramgarh Chowk for illegal transportation of construction material (Sand).
While Police team of PS Vijaypur seized a Tipper having Registration Number JK21E-1215 at naka Sangwal, Vijaypur for illegal transportation of construction material (Sand).
All the 6 vehicles intercepted by Samba Police in these incidents were seized on spot and cases entrusted to Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further action.
Similarly, acting on reliable information regarding illegal mining, Police team of PS Purmandal raided the spot & seized a Tractor bearing Registration Number JK02BN-7173 which was engaged in illegal mining alongside basanter river bed near village Pacholi, Purmandal. In this connection, a case FIR No. 01/2021 US 188 IPC got registered at PS Purmandal. |
