Apni Party constitutes OBC, SC Committees in Samba District | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
SAMBA, Jan 3: Apni Party today constituted District Committees of Other Backward Class (OBC) and Schedule Caste (SC) in Samba district with the approval from Party President Syed Mohammed Altaf Bukhari. In a statement issued here, Apni Party Provincial President and Former Minister Manjit Singh announced the OBC and SC Committees of Apni Party in Samba district on the recommendation of State Coordinator OBC Madan Lal Chalotra and State Coordinator S C Bodh Raj Bhagat. These committees were constituted with the consultation and approval of Party President Altaf Bukhari. Bishan Das Verma has been appointed as District President OBC of Apni Party in Samba District, Krishan Lal has been appointed as Vice President OBC, Kewal Krishan Prajapati has been appointed as Secretary OBC, and Surjeet Singh has also been appointed as Joint Secretary OBC. Meanwhile, for Schedule Caste (SC) District Samba Body, Raj Kumar Bhagat has been appointed as President SC Apni Party, Rajiv Kumar has been appointed as Vice President SC, Sunil Kumar has been appointed as Secretary SC, Ajit Kumar has been appointed as Joint Secretary SC and Parshotam Kumar as Joint Secretary SC. The committees were constituted following a meeting chaired by Apni Party Provincial President Manjit Singh at Vijaypur in which OBC State Coordinator Madan Lal Chalotra and State Coordinator of SC Bodh Raj Bhagat were also present. Speaking on the occasion, Former Minister, and Provincial President, Manjit Singh said that they have constituted OBC and SC committees so that the neglected section of society can be represented by their own people. “The OBC has a long pending demand of 27 % reservation in J&K. However, their issues are not being addressed by the government. It has deprived them of their rights,” said Manjit Singh. Expressing commitment, he said that “Apni Party will fight for all the people whether farmers or students or unemployed youth. We do not do discrimination with anyone. We equally treat everyone in the society.” |
