| Girl donates to fight Covid-19 | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Feb 5: A twelve year old girl, Guhika Sachdev from Jammu has inspired people after she donated Rs one lakh and eleven thousand which she earned from sharing her singing video on Youtube.
She donated this money to Dr. Shashi Sudan Sharma, Principal GMC & AH Jammu for fight against Corona virus and to help the needy patients.
Guhika posted her video on Youtube in November which went viral. The video got a huge response from the audience.
She said that during lockdown she saw migrant labourers walking thousands of kilometers and her heart really sank. They were travelling without food and water. She hoped that her donation would help them in a little way. She said that if God has given us everything then we should help others. She got this inspiration from her grandfather and father.
The Principal GMC & AH appreciated her humanitarian gesture and asked her to continue to help the needy in a similar way in future. She said, Guhika is an icon for our youth and society and everyone should join hands to help each other. She said that our committee members will also contribute for this novel cause. |
